Women farmers do roughly 70% of the world's food production

It is important to remember that the US is the only country where men are seen as the primary farmers. Women farmers do roughly 70% of the world's food production in spite of the fact that they have very little control over the land they work. That could be about to change somewhat, at least if the Via Campesina folks are successful (which it seems they may be). We'll see. - Luanetodd
